Track your Kindle and Kobo reading by percentage

Quick answer: multiply your Kindle or Kobo percentage by the book's printed page count. At 37% of a 400-page book, you are on page 148. Booked & Beautiful does that maths for you every time you log a percentage.

How to convert a percentage to pages

Pages read = percentage ÷ 100 × printed page count. For example, 25% of a 320-page book is 80 pages, and 60% of a 500-page book is 300 pages. The result follows the printed edition, so it lines up with paper books and with the page totals in your stats.

Why e-reader progress is awkward to log

Kindle and Kobo re-flow text depending on your font size, so the "page" you see is not the page in the printed edition. Location numbers are worse: they mean nothing outside the device. Percentage is the one number that is consistent, so it is the best thing to log.

2. When you stop reading, note the percentage your e-reader shows.
